The light, bright restaurant in shabby-chic Provençal style has doors that open out onto the street. Traditional dishes make for a satisfying menu: salade niçoise, grilled sea bass and fennel, gigot d'agneau, followed by good desserts. The cooking is not going to set the world alight, but it keeps the well-heeled, well-dressed customers happy. Prices are high---this is South Kensington and all that lavender is expensive.
