Casual yet elegant restaurant and bar with upscale menu featuring regional Italian cuisine. Enjoy the outside patio bar and courtyard in pleasant weather. Live jazz outside, weather permitting, on Sunday afternoon and Monday-Thursday evenings. In cooler weather, dining inside by the fireplace is particularly warm and cozy. Dinner every night. Owner Phyllis Bedard keeps things fresh and fun, starting with an outdoor patio (tented and heated in the cooler months) with a satellite bar and full menu. The indoor dining room is almost an afterthought except during winter, when it is hung with tiny lights and beckons to couples for an intimate adult night out. Summer, though, is when Simpatico is at its best, offering the comfort of familiar favorites like local lobster and chops under the stars, with cheerful diners providing some minor street theater to bring sleepy Jamestown to life. The menu may also include dishes such as green curry mussels, tamarind ribs, cappellini and gulf shrimp, and Atlantic striped bass.
