It's fitting that Tricia's is located on sleepy Conanicut Island (Jamestown) in Narragansett Bay because this bright and happy indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar is truly southern New England's best answer to "limin'" on a tropical island. The Key West-meets-Polynesian-paradise décor makes visitors feel like they're on vacation as soon as they step through the door. The restaurant, housed in a lovingly renovated Victorian, is full of nooks and crannies including a tiny balcony for semi-private dining; a boisterous, seasonal outdoor Tiki Bar; and a comfy second-floor lounge where tropical drinks and appetizers are served. The Caribbean-inspired cuisine outshines the lush setting, from unique coconut-crusted shrimp to authentic Cuban sandwiches (ask for extra pickles) and juicy ribs basted in sweet barbecue sauce, served alongside the restaurant's prized sweet potato fries. The service can be a bit spotty, especially if it's busy, but hey, it's the islands, mon.
