In 2010 Description:
Housed in the space where the subpar Empire Szechuan cooked up forgettable Chinese food for years in the West Village, this oddly named eatery happens to be a reincarnation of the old place but in the form of an Asian gastropub. The room is centered around an island bar where beer on tap and cocktails are served, but the mediocre menu is just about the same. Bland Chinese classics like General Tso's chicken and sesame chicken make an appearance along with dishes that require slightly more execution, such as a banana leaf-wrapped fish and a tilapia filet. Like the old place, sushi is offered too, but stick to cooked food.
