Sweetiepie Description:
An adult sans child might feel a bit out of place at this West Village restaurant. That's because it seems to have been designed specifically for little girls. Magenta walls and a table at the front window that's entirely enclosed in a huge bird cage make Sweetiepie a mecca for the Barbie-loving set. The menu, which is beside the point, is an odd (and overpriced) mishmash of dishes that seem to cater more to little girls' parents: greasy schnitzel, grilled wild Alaskan salmon, hanger steak in a red wine sauce. There are also plenty of burgers, sandwiches and salads and, appropriately enough, an extra large selection of desserts. For the adult who needs an escape as well, Sweetiepie also has a long cocktail list.
