J&G Grill Description:
Renowned New York chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is creating culinary magic for the St. Regis chain with Park City's J&G Grill. Though some guests might find the exhibition kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, dramatic earth toned velvet drapery, individual burlap sacks of hot grain bread and tiny ramekins with silver spoons for coarse table salt, and extensive wine vault over the top, the elegance of the dining room is unmistakable. The menu highlights local cuisine, local growers and local ambience complemented by creative flavors like the bacon-wrapped shrimp with honey mustard-passion fruit glaze, the grilled Szechuan peppercorn-crusted yellowfin tuna or the glazed short ribs with apple-jalapeño purée. For dessert, one forkful of the white chocolate and yuzu Pavlova with Thai basil syrup will leave you curious and yearning for the sweet and tart lime sensation. Lunchtime service can be slow, as you often have to flag down a preoccupied server. If you're looking to get in and out quickly, eat in the St. Regis Bar, which offers an abbreviated version of the J&G menu. Non-hotel guests can either ski in for lunch or breakfast from the Deer Crest area of Deer Valley or ride the funicular near Deer Valley's Snow Park Lodge. If you want to save money, do your wallet a favor and order the prix-fixe menu, available in the spring and fall.
