The Widmer brothers' beer-making operation is firmly established, and their companion dining hall is worth noting as well. The refurbished warehouse in industrial North Portland is a striking expanse of gleaming copper, wood and glass. Order a six-beer sampler tray that arrives with precious mini-mugs of choice brews. The food---fondue, sauerbraten, sausages, sandwiches and goulash---is hearty and designed to soak up said beer: the more you drink, the better it tastes! The desserts here offer a pleasant surprise.
