Hunan Restaurant Description:
This is the best kind of Chinese restaurant: tucked away in a hidden downtown alley, yet centrally located within walking distance of Portland's major hotels. While the décor is basic, uninspiring Chinese kitsch, the lively pink and red colors do make you sit up and take notice. The menu has red dots all over it, which means, of course, that many of the dishes here are hot, hot, hot. You can get less incendiary items, too, such as a fine sesame beef or subtly smoked duck.
