Chuck wagon décor sets the mood at this fun, family-friendly barbecue joint. Smoking is acceptable when it involves meat shoved into a huge metal contraption out back. Nearly every dish here is infused with rugged smoke flavor, but that doesn't mean the food is harsh or monotonous. The barbecue platters are heaped with tasty combinations of ribs, chicken, hot links and brisket. The hickory-flavored chicken and andouille gumbo is topnotch, as are several overstuffed sandwiches.
