In the midst of Oregon's wine country---surrounded by the Ponzi wine tasting room and a gift shop carrying a wealth of Oregon food products---The Dundee Bistro serves quintessentially Pacific Northwest cuisine. This translates to plenty of wild mushrooms, fish from Oregon or Washington waters, seasonal berries, locally crafted cheeses, and regional chicken, pork and lamb. The restaurant is housed in a pleasant, warm space, accented with wood and an open kitchen. Its very complete wine list is drawn from the wineries of the Willamette and Yamhill Valleys, as well as from vineyards farther afield---all of the bottles are fairly-priced. The menu is not extensive, with just a few starters, entrées and pizza, but all are thoughtfully executed. The seasonally-based dishes may include Puget Sound clams simmered in Pinot Gris or breast of chicken with local chanterelles. This transcendent Oregon dining experience is a fine addition to any wine country tour.
