Boiled crabs and shrimp are brought to the table warm, an unusual virtue. A good soft-shell crab po' boy sandwich and a properly swampy seafood gumbo are winners. And the odds are with you on the home-style daily specials. A yen for dessert presents the opportunity to sidle over to the Coffee Cottage, one of the best pastry shops in these environs. An alternative to the unremarkable, often-crowded dining room is the covered section out front, ideal for the often-messy exercise of shelling hard crabs.
