Shogun Description:
Built for high volume, Shogun has been offering sushi in the New Orleans area longer than anyone else. It's still a reliable pick for an overview of the most well-known options. Most of the sushi here is made with cooked seafood, and the sashimi items number almost a hundred. All are definitively done, as are the teriyaki, the noodle dishes and the choices from the hibachi. In addition to the huge selection of rolls and other fish and vegetable nibbles, the menu offers a virtual catalog of traditional Japanese dishes, from shabu-shabu (paper-thin beef cooked at the table in bubbling oil) to tempura and sukiyaki dinners. Spaces are more than ample, even with the extra-long sushi bar and the convenient crying room for families with infants.
