What a ploy, having that filled-to-the-brim bakery case front and center---customers walking in, out or by always turn toward the array of Jewish pastries, cookies, brownies, cakes and breads. If nothing else, Canter's deserves praise for staying open 24 hours a day and satisfying any type of craving. The adjoining Kibitz Room is a popular spot for live music.
