On the water in historic downtown Lahaina, Kimo's is a dependably good place for fish and steak. The view---especially if you can get an oceanfront table---is exceptional at sunset. The menu is not particularly imaginative, but you'll find a selection of fresh island fish, the perennial lobster-and-steak combo and a range of steak, chicken and pork dishes. And try the Hula Pie---a mile-high Kona coffee ice cream pie with a cookie crust. The downstairs bar is always packed with a young singles crowd and dinner patrons waiting for a table (the restaurant, which is upstairs, usually has a long wait for dinner).
