This Boise mainstay has given itself a face-lift---no more outdoorsy décor with a hunting-fishing motif. Instead, Angell's has gone urban contemporary, even down to its sign. The restaurant's sunken treasure setting boasts a spacious patio with plenty of arboreal shade and an outside bar where the landscaping creates a pleasant garden atmosphere. The balanced menu has plenty of options for all appetites and offers sensibly staid, if bland, fare---Caesar salad, fish 'n' chips, blackened prime rib sandwiches and more. Oddly for a steakhouse, the most palate-pleasing dishes are the Cantonese chicken salad and a sweet, three-pepper red curry. Perhaps Angell's will soon give its menu a little renovation as well.

Angell's is our favorite dining spot. We always have wonderful service, great food, and enjoy sampling fabulous wines from their extensive wine list. There are many new and innovative menu selections and even though we have our favorites, we look forward to the daily evening specials. It has always been a comfortable and friendly place to eat, but now it is stunning! The decor is decidedly up-town and sophisticated, but still warm and inviting. We recommend this restaurant to all our friends and hear nothing but rave reviews from everyone who dines there. We wholeheartedly agree!

Angell's Bar & Grill is one of our very favorite restaurants in Boise and for that matter, anywhere. It's beautiful! The service is friendly and professional, and the food is superb. We love the patio, especially this time of year when it is filled with beaufitul flowers and greenery. The interior is spectacular, with the colors being predominately camel, black, some red touches and textures of suede, faux crocodile, leopard and tiger print covering the walls, booths and other seating areas. We are excited to see the new face of Angell's and we can't wait to have another amazing food and wine experience soon!

We ate dinner with a group of friends at Angell's a few evenings ago and our experience was terrific. The new d�cor is gorgeous, with rich fabrics and beautiful furnishings and accessories. We ordered the calamari fritti as an appetizer and it was delicious - crisp and flavorful, with a wonderful lemon and artichoke aioli sauce accompanying it. The menu items we ordered were: roasted prime rib, double cut New Zealand lamb chops, Alaskan pan roasted halibut and sesame crusted ahi. Everything was perfectly prepared and the presentations were wonderful. We shared a cr�me brul�e, chocloate "bomb" and a chocolate sundae for dessert and needless to say, we were completely satiated. We're looking forward to more super meals at this great spot!
