Chandlers Steakhouse-Boise Description:
This is not your standard steakhouse: first, because it's located in the boutique Hotel 43, and second, because Chandlers specializes in USDA Prime corn-fed, Kobe-style beef. Rex Chandler, a restaurateur with Sun Valley credits, has managed to bring a "Big City" feel to Boise in a way that's sophisticated and modern. It's a room with low lighting, dark walls and plush seating. While the menu doesn't head in the direction of innovative fare, its offerings include scampi, porterhouse and New York strip steaks, wild Alaska king salmon, and filet mignon. To enhance its upscale persona, Chandlers features live jazz with Kevin Kirk seven nights a week.
