If Seasons Rotisserie & Grill reminds you of wine country, there's good reason---the owner, Roger Roessler, also runs Roessler Cellars in Sonoma County, California. From the barrel-vaulted ceiling to the exhibition kitchen, Seasons is one of the best-looking restaurants in town and it's certainly one of the most consistently inventive. Though the calamari with roasted tomato salsa and lemon aïoli is unbeatable, it's such bold twists on the local cuisine as pecan-crusted three-cheese chiles rellenos with buttermilk-squash coulis that merit more than one try. Lunch is more laid-back, featuring favorites like a spit-roasted turkey club with thick, meaty slices of bacon and avocado. With its terrific view of Old Town, the whimsical multi-colored dome on the Explora Science Center, and the Sandia Mountains, Seasons' rooftop cantina is the ideal spot to sample wines from the exhaustive list---including Roessler's own.
