Muddy Miser's Cool River Cafe Description:
Located on the spot where Muddy Miser--a friend and adviser to the famous author, Zane Grey--taught Grey how to fish. Riverfront cafe has outdoor seating overlooking the Muskingum River in warm weather and a cozy, bar indoors with limited (though adequate) seating. The owner is a serious collector of Zane Grey artifacts (many of which adorn the restaurant) and a buff on local history. Cooking style is Gulf-coast--though not exactly Cajun. It also caters to the local community's taste for down-home, country style fare. Burgers, such as the "Heart Attack Burger", seafood, sandwiches, soups and many other choices.

APPHALLING! We arrived at Muddy Meisers and parked in the lot near the river. We decided to taste a brew from the neighbor's brewery to whet our appetite before having our meal, however we were yelled at that our car would be towed. Despite informing the man at the door we'd be dining there, he still demanded we move our car. I will not patronize a restaurant so rude to their customers and neighbors.
