Thirst & Vine Description:
Inspired by Paris' bistros and wine bars, Thirst & Vine is quietly tucked into a residential area of Shorewood. Most of the wine list selections are French, and the nibbles and noshes are derived from France as well. Rotated weekly, the menu often includes panini, pizza (with a side of mixed greens), salads with French accoutrements (topped with Roquefort cheese or an iceberg lettuce wedge, for instance) and elegant European-style entrées (like Sicilian calamari or coffee-braised spoon lamb in a red-wine sauce). For a lighter bite, cheese plates contain selections sourced from all over the world, as well as Wisconsin. The sound of acoustic musicians often fills the space, which is spread over two rooms. Wine tastings and visits from cheesemakers and winemakers are held in the eatery's retail wine shop.
