The selection at Nonnina Italian Bistro is wide and the food nicely cooked, despite not offering the most innovative menu. Pick and choose from the antipasti for optimal sharing among a group of any size, or go with the fritto misto appetizer that includes fried calamari, shrimp and zucchini with a spicy marinara sauce. Pizzas and ravioli al forno will provide fine meals, but the eatery's strength is in the secondi, or meat dishes. The skirt steak topped with a red wine reduction and fried onions is served over mashed potatoes; the tender meat plays nicely against the crunch of the vegetable. Follow this up with the light tiramisu and leave plotting out your next visit.
