The General Practitioner Description:
The General Practitioner is a modern interpretation of a traditional public house, what we like to call a “gastropub�?. “The GP�? offers the Monteiths famous family of boutique beers and regular seasonal brews matched up with a menu showing an overriding New Zealand wild food theme. The menus were created by Len Baldwin, executive Chef and partner and four times winner of The Monteiths Wild Food Challenge.
The General Practitioner takes it name from its history; The Building was originally constructed for Dr Henry Pollen in1903. Dr Pollen conducted his surgery on the ground floors and resided with his family on the upper floors.
