One in the locally-owned Anthony Restaurant's group, this location next to the Des Moines Yacht Club offers waterside views of Maury Island and the Olympic Mountains. Two restaurants in one, Anthony's HomePort is located on the second level, while the Des Moines Oyster Bar & Grill is on the plaza level. Moderate prices and straightforward, decently prepared food served in attractive, comfortable surroundings add up to an all-around value. Count on the fish-of-the-day being fresh---whether it's Alaskan salmon, Canadian halibut, Hawaiian snapper, petrale sole from Oregon or oysters from Puget Sound. Seafood quality is tops here since the parent company is also a seafood wholesaler. Expect careful preparation and courteous service, but don't go expecting cutting-edge fare.
