Salty's at Redondo Beach Description:
Salty's enjoys a long-standing reputation as a place to go for tasty seafood dishes served in a delightful waterside atmosphere. Though this and the Alki Beach location are both popular destinations for out-of-town visitors, expect to see fewer tourists and more visiting relations at Redondo, here to take in the sunset view over the Olympic Mountains. We enjoy dropping in for a comfortable and laid-back meal, out on the deck when the weather allows, or while listening to live music in the lounge. Our favorite starter is coconut tempura tiger prawns with a spicy chili sauce, and sometimes we share a classic spinach salad with egg, mushrooms and bacon dressing. Memorable main courses sport an Asian accent, like Thai-style scallops with ginger rice and cilantro curry, or macadamia-crusted snapper with green papaya salad and coconut rice. Dine in a leisurely fashion and you might have room left for a crème brûlée trio or Salty's own white chocolate mousse cake in a pool of raspberry purée. The real splurge is Sunday brunch, a dying breed and one of the most extravagant seafood buffets (plus so much more!) the area has to offer.
