I went to Tapastree Restaurant with my boyfriend last night and we both absolutely loved it! Upon arrival, we parked in back (free) and the hostess seated us right away. The server was friendly and made great suggestions, although it seemed like she could have pointed randomly at the menu and it she would have chosen something good.
That night, we ordered:
- sauteed mushrooms with goat cheese
- japanese eggplant
- seared scallops
- seared tuna with ponzu sauce
- beef tenderloin
Remember, they are tapas (which means tasting dish) so the portions are small - which was good, since it gave us the opportunity to try a lot of them. Everything was great... highly recommended.

This little restaurant really packs a puch. It can probabaly only seat around 35-40 people, but it really delivers on food.
We had numerous appetizers and mains, although it is hard to distinguish as they are all tapas sized and come out of the kitchen as they are ready. The favorites of the night that stand out are the seared tuna with ponzo and some sort of mustard sauce, spicy tuna tartare, angus beef (special for that evening) and japanese eggplant. The others were not as noteable, but still quite tasty. One stay away was the olive plate, it was literally just a plate of olives, which were tasty, but not something that I would order again.
For desert, we all shared their flourless chocolate fondant cake, something unique and VERY good... It tasted a little like fudge without the extreme guild (only a little).
Pricing is high, but when you are ordering small plates like this, they add up fast.
Service was only acceptable, my drinks were slow, one of the dishes never came and we had to have it removed from the bill, but still ok. Lastly, atmosphere was intimate and they did well with what they had, but nothing memorable.

This place is not fancy, nor does it give off any sense of snootiness. It looks like it has been around for quite some time, which is a good sign, and there is nothing overbearing or obnoxious about it... it is just a small neighborhood place that is convenient, intimately private and makes DELICIOUS food.
Parking is mostly hasle free, if there is a space available when you park in the back lot. The waiters are all attentive, as is the onsite owner/manager. I love vairety in my food and there is no better way to get variety than to sit down at a tapas place and order 15 things in a group of 4. You must try the lamb lolipops, they were excellent.
A great overall place to go on a date / intimate evening with friends and have a good time. The outside tables are also quite fun on a arm and sunny evening.
