The décor here is simple, with country cottage accents and understated colors. The cuisine, on the other hand, is worldly and elegant, though never pretentious. Contemporary American and continental dishes are prepared with care and finesse. Warm your body and soul with one of Chez Betty's soups, then move on to a starter like the sun-dried tomato and rock shrimp risotto or warm spinach salad. Entrées include locally caught red trout filet and the house specialty, rack of New Zealand lamb marinated in garlic and herbs. A four-course tasting menu is available each night.
