Camping stoves are permitted but please use with extreme care and keep them well away from your tent and those surrounding you.
There are clearly marked fire lanes in all the campsites. You must not pitch your tent within these lanes and you must keep them clear of all your belongings. They are in place to let emergency vehicles reach the tents, in the event of an emergency. If you pitch your tent within the fire lanes it will be removed, even if you are not present. If this happens, please report to the Welfare Tent where it will have been taken. If you are unsure of where the fire lanes are, please ask a Steward.
Do not light fires, as they could prove fatal due to the close proximity of the tents. All fires will be extinguished.
Miscellaneous:
The campsites will open at 10:00 on Friday 17 August and close on Monday 20 August at noon. The arena will open at 12:00 on Saturday and Sunday and the bands will finish at 23:00.Once the arena is closed, you can return to your tents or go to the village. Films will be shown throughout the night in the JJB/PUMA arena on Friday and Saturday. Some food and drinks stalls will remain open.
On arrival, prior to pitching your tent, you need to exchange your ticket for a wristband at the Wristband Exchange, which is situated outside the arena. ENSURE YOU WEAR YOUR WRISTBAND ALL WEEKEND. TO REMOVE IT WILL INVALIDATE IT AND YOU RISK BEING EJECTED FROM THE FESTIVAL.
N.B. You do not need to exchange your ticket for a wristband if you are a day ticket holder. Instead, on arrival, hand your ticket to a Steward who will remove the stub. Day ticket holders should ensure they have all of their belongings with them as, should they leave the arena, they will not be re-admitted.
CAMPERVANS:
Campervan pitches are now sold out. There is a separate field on site for campervans, etc. Due to fire regulations, pitches are marked out. If you have purchased a pitch you are permitted a maximum of 4 persons sleeping within your pitch, this includes those who sleep in the vehicle. If you have more than 4 people you must purchase an extra pitch. Each person sleeping in your pitch must have a weekend camping ticket. There are toilets, showers and water points within the field but please note there are no electricity points, as this is parkland rather than a campsite. You will be sent your weekend camping tickets, a campervan pitch ticket and a parking pass for your vehicle that will give you admittance to the campervan field. This parking pass must be displayed in your rear-view mirror when nearing the festival site. You will be directed to the campervan field once your tickets have been validated. When you have parked your vehicle you must go with your party (Max 4) and exchange your weekend camping tickets and your campervan ticket for wristbands. Ensure you take your campervan ticket, otherwise you will not be re-admitted to the campervan field. Please note that due to the level of people wishing to bring vehicles into the campervan area this year we will only permit Campervans, Caravans and Trailer Tents in this area, if you attempt to bring in any other vehicle you will not be permitted and will be directed to the car parks and usual camping areas.
