Brilliant Description:
This establishment is run by the Anand family, and the name hearkens back to The Brilliant Restaurant that their grandfather owned in Kenya. This is gutsy cooking, East African-Asian, that never fails to please. They're famous for their butter, jeera (cumin) and chilli chicken starters as well as samosas and kebabs. Try the likes of king prawn in masala sauce, or tilapia fish, along with methi (fenugreek) chicken cooked bhuna style (well-cooked and more dry than soupy). Curries are first-rate. Breads like rotis, rice and dals are all very good. The restaurant has grown from a small 36-seater to an institution in this area of London.
