Swan at the Globe Description:
If you want to see what an unapologetic British menu can do, try the Brasserie at the Globe. Apart from the buzz of eating beside the Thames and the experience of the gloriously reconstructed Shakespearean theatre, there are surprises in store like Isle of Man kipper pâté, mushroom and Stilton tart to start; lamb shepherd's pie, Cumberland sausages and champ to follow. Sea bass and steaks make an appearance; desserts go a bit more continental with chocolate brûlée sitting alongside baked apple pancake on the menu. Only one English wine finds its way onto the menu which is a shame. Service is good. Set lunch 2 courses £12.50, 3 courses £15.50.
