Flying-V Bar & Grill Description:
Located on the grounds of Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, the Flying V attracts as many local diners as it does resort guests thanks to chef de cuisine Alexis Martinez's clever takes on traditional Mexican fare. The influence is apparent from the get-go with the chile spiked complimentary cornbread. Follow that with the duck confit flautas and chili-rubbed figs appetizer. Or try the guacamole, prepared tableside by a highly trained "guacamoliere." Main plates include the famous V's baby-back ribs. Seafood lovers will delight in the hefty portion of seared scallops sitting atop sweet winter squash and a lovely romesco sauce. Save room for dessert; we opt for the chocolate fondue. Mix and match to create your own sweet ending. There are more than fifty tequilas available and a colorful slate of margaritas as well.
