Eric's Ice Cream occupied this location for decades, but owner Eric Lepie, looking to slow down a bit, sold a share of the business to a youngster, renamed it Local Dough, and changed the main offering to pizzas and craft brews.
Local Dough was a flop, especially with the health inspectors; Lepie took the business back, scaled it down a bit, re-named it 1702, and now offers pizza by the slice, salads big enough to feed three, and one of the largest and deepest beer lists in the Southwest.
