Little Café Poca Cosa Description:
During good weather---which is almost every day in Tucson---the patio at this spot offers some great people-watching. Open for breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, it's always packed, and you may even be asked to share a table with strangers. Don't be shy: it's a good chance to make a new friend, or eagle-eye a dish that you might want to order on your next visit. We can't escape the chicken mole, deep, dark and savory. But the chile colorado, which comes with pork, chicken or beef, is also a sure winner. Every plate comes with ranch beans, rice and a mixed salad (the house dressing is on the table, so don't ask for Roquefort). Breakfast offerings include a tamal de elote, a creamy tamale mixed with green chilies and cheese. The music can be quite loud at times but it's a nice mix of both modern and traditional Mexican music and old rock hits. Bring a handful of cash, because the joint doesn't accept plastic.
