Dixie Crossroads Description:
Once you've dined here, you'll be hooked on the sweet rock shrimp, the house specialty---they serve about 1,000 pounds of the critters every day. The casual restaurant seats 400, with servers hurrying back and forth from the kitchen balancing giant trays of seafood---okay, there's steak on the menu, but we can't imagine ordering it. The seafood really is the star---besides the rock shrimp, another Florida delicacy, mullet, is a house special, as are heaping baskets of freshly caught steamed shrimp with plenty of warm drawn butter for dipping. Wash it all down with a cold brew and you'll feel like a native.
