Chop House Restaurant Description:
Located in a hotel that saw a lot of action in silver mining days and still does, the Chop House Restaurant doesn't feel like it has changed much. The rooms are still paneled, papered and dramatically draped in Victorian schmaltz and the lighting is a soft golden glow. You fully expect to see Butch and the Sundance Kid come riding in on a Saturday night. (They did pass through awhile back.) The diverse menu boasts USDA Prime beef, farm fresh game, flown-in-daily seafood, pastas and a wide variety of vegetarian choices. The extensive wine list offers over 100 vintages and 30 wines by the glass. After dinner, we like to savor a fine Cognac in the historic bar and cue up a game or two on one of the three regulation-sized billiard tables.
