Graze Description:
Graze is an off-the-beaten-track, hip yet casual diner located in a colonial-style bungalow in the Rochester Park dining enclave. The focus here is on fresh produce, cooked simply with a modern (sometimes creative) touch, yielding good results. Start with six Australian oysters served rare with lemon and lime. Follow with a subtle creamed thyme-and-cauliflower soup with morsels of shrimps. For a main course, nicely grilled scallops tossed with tiger prawns, garlic and spaghetti in a saffron fish broth packs a full punch. Fish lovers should not miss the barramundi, pan-roasted until moist on the inside and slightly charred on the outside, served neatly atop homemade organic pumpkin ravioli. From the barbecue menu, grass-fed tenderloin served medium rare with chopped salad is tender and properly cooked, comparable to that served at Singapore's best steakhouses. Close the meal with a warm Michel Cluizel bittersweet chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream.
