Saffron Patch Description:
The Saffron Patch, located in an unassuming office tower, offers a sleek and stylish dining experience. Black-and-white furnishings, colorful wall hangings and floor-to-ceiling windows provide a lovely backdrop for the robust fare of northern India. Sashay into the extensive menu with paneer pakora---sweet, fried, homemade cheese---or shrimp tikka marinated in a bright tomato-yogurt sauce. Tandoor temptations, such as the chicken tikka or the maharaja mixed grill, are served on a sizzling bed of onions with saffron rice and vegetable curry. The menu is also very vegetarian-friendly with an entire section dubbed Vegetarian Love Affair. Alu gobi, dal and peshawar cholle deserve special attention. Desserts are limited but still tasty and include kulfi, an exotic ice cream made with pistachio, cashews and saffron.
