Smash Wine Bar & Bistro Description:
Head here to enjoy a thoughtful selection of by-the-glass wine pours and more than ten flight combos, often developed around an inventive aesthetic. For example, the Rhone Ranger brings together wines from Australia, California and France, while the Chardonnay-lover's perennial debate of Oak/No Oak presents 2004 varietals from California, Washington and France to launch the argument. Nibbles include the "Grab Your Goat" cheese plate, with varieties from Corsica and Colorado, along with Big Blues from Oregon and Vermont. Bar bites include baby beef burgers with white cheddar and crispy gingered calamari. The main menu has two sections: A Few Bites (starters) and Big Bites (entrées). Our favorite Small Bites include the savory duck and shiitake spring rolls and an earthy chanterelle rosemary bisque. Entrées range from sage-rubbed pork tenderloin to creamy truffled Vermont cheddar mac 'n' cheese. For dessert, let yourself be seduced by warm French donuts or a tart marionberry cobbler with lemon sorbet.
