This restaurant is hidden behind an unmarked pink door on Post Alley. Summer diners enjoy the lovely rooftop patio, while the two-story dining room is a charming jumble of ornate mirrors, mismatched silver candlesticks, and kitschy murals. A wooden swing suspended high overhead is used by a trapeze artist on random visits, and a fortune teller may hold court at a corner table. Antipasti include a trio of crostini featuring fava bean purée, baby artichokes, and fresh mushrooms. You can't go wrong ordering the linguine with baby clams and pancetta tossed with garlic and parsley. Lasagna lovers will like the dish served in an individual casserole and featuring fresh spinach noodles layered with creamy béchamel sauce, pesto, and a zesty marinara. Consider sharing a pasta for your first course and then order the mixed grill, scallopine, or the tomato-and-wine-scented cioppino brimming with prawns, mussels, clams and calamari. Round out the feast with tiramisu or a trio of crème brûlées artfully served in individual coffee cups.
