Endolyne Joe's Description:
Named after a ne'er do well conductor of old Trolley No. 2, who had an eye for a well-turned leg and an insatiable thirst for a good time.
One of Chow Foods' innovative, high-quality themed restaurants, Endolyne Joe's offers well-prepared but unpretentious meals. Located near West Seattle's Fauntleroy ferry terminal where big white boats travel to and fro between Vashon Island, it's virtually the only eatery in the neighborhood. Named for End-of-the-Line Joe, the conductor of a long-defunct trolley line that once had its turnaround here, the neighborhood eatery mingles regular fare with American regional themes. We always enjoy the ancho chile prawn tacos and the Calamari-Napa Showdown, a tasty toss of squid and slaw dressed with curried cider vinaigrette. You can't go wrong with the pork chop---thick-cut and marinated with Tabasco and hoisin sauce. Morning diners are inevitably impressed by Joe's "blunch," a serendipitous meeting of breakfast and lunch. Nothing here is serious gourmet cuisine, but it's appealing to all ages and reasonably priced.
