Roka Description:
Based out of London, Roka features the traditional Japanese cooking style known as robatayaki, where meats, seafood and vegetables are cooked over a charcoal fire on a robata grill. The cooking style, so the story goes, mimics Japanese fisherman who cook their daily catch over open flames with their oars used as serving platters. Guests can sit up close and personal with the flames, or enjoy sushi and sashimi, plus some innovative creations like rice hot pot with King crab and wasabi tobiko, red mullet with garlic chips, gourmet kimchi, and the signature whole, wild jumbo Madagascan prawn that's about a foot long and threaded on a skewer. Like its menu, the contemporary setting is hip, happening, and often loud, particularly when the DJ gets cranking in the bar.
