Sapporo Description:
· The 10,000 square foot building has an award-winning exterior and interior design. Combining the warmth of stone with the sleekness of stainless steel, Sapporo offers an inviting atmosphere both inside and out. Multiple water features and aquariums with Jellyfish and Yellow Tangs add to the dynamic décor of navy blue, black and silver.
· Three concepts in three distinct areas of one location: Large Teppan tables for grilling, Sushi Bars, booths and tables for Pacific Rim foods. A separate chef supervises each area.
· Quality ingredients like Kobe beef, Bluefin Tuna, and Ahi Tuna. Fresh fish flown in six days a week.
· Specialty drinks such as Slushy Passion-Mango Martinis, Octopussy Martini, Sapporo beer, along with all liquor and wines.
Noisy, cavernous and ultra-hip---that's Sapporo, the popular Pan-Asian restaurant that has besotted Scottsdale's party crowd since its inception. Dressed in their finest duds, the young and restless arrive fashionably late to sip passion-mango martinis at the elliptical bar and check out romantic possibilities amid a dramatic backdrop of giant jellyfish aquariums and gleaming black columns of cascading water. Meanwhile, those with a different sort of appetite show up for sushi, teppanyaki and a provocative list of Asian specialties both traditional and trendy. Unless you're with a group in desperate need of entertainment, skip the teppanyaki, which can be overpriced and dull, but do take a look at the regular menu, which offers everything from delicately fried tempura to grilled black cod (glazed with miso) and spicy Hawaiian poki. Although the two-page sushi menu seems geared toward the novice, there are plenty of tasty selections for aficionados as well. Now put on something sexy and get out there.
