Cantina Laredo Description:
It may be a chain, but the chef prepares virtually everything from scratch, including the winsome guacamole, complex mole sauces and velvety dessert crêpes stuffed with apples and drizzled in cajeta and Kahlúa. The atmosphere is upbeat---and upscale---which means we don't think it's the best place to pack in the little kids expecting a cheap cheese crisp and french fries. The menu showcases creative dishes like chicken Laredo in a chipotle-wine sauce alongside the more expected soft tacos and spinach enchiladas. Save some scratch, too, for a premium margarita blended with Herradura Selección Suprema, which has a sticker shock price tag of $48.
