I have been to the Barking Fish so many times - I love it, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is chic, and the staff is beautiful - what more could you ask for?!

I'm sorry to hear that the other people who rated The Barking Fish had horrible experiences. My husband was the Executive Chef when the restaurant first opened and never had a complaint. Since we moved from Saskatoon and someone else took over we have been back once to find that the portions were much smaller and a lot of my favorites had been cut from the menu. My favorites were the short ribs and chili chicken and I craved them a lot with our first child. Sorry to hear that it has gone down hill since my husband did help open it and build its first reputation.

Maple glazed short ribs are fantastic, also the shrimp chicken spring rolls. Others like grilled veg salad and pad thai and the soy based soup, not so much. Some great martinis. I enjoy the atmosphere but unfortunately I havent recieved fast service! Food and atmosphere are pretty good but service not snappy. Still recommend you check it out!

I love the Chili Chicken bowl it's my favorite. I have it everytime I go. My friend had the sushi which was also fantastic.

1) waitress/bartender knew nothing about the bottle of wine we inquired about
2) Crab cakes were good, but failed to warn my wife about "very spicy"
3) Wild Smoked Salmon Linguini was the worst dish I've ever been served in a resturant, blan, no flavor, gluey pasta, terrible
4) New York steak was okay, did not even season the steak, accompanying rice was blan and again no seasoning or taste
5) not willing to risk further expenses on dessert, went to another resturant
I would NOT recommend this spot to anyone, even after telling our waitress of my dissapointment, she did nothing to respond except, "sorry, I thought you'd like it"
