Bistro 315 Description:
This shoebox-size restaurant offers big lusty flavors of Provence. Count on finding rack of lamb coated with mustard and herbs and roasted until the center of the meat is a rosy hue. While chef Louis Moskow does dabble in Southwestern dishes---deep-fried squash blossoms filled with goat cheese are a spring staple---French is the country of his choice. Start with a country pâté studded with pistachios or wild mushroom gnocchi toasted lightly in a gratin dish. Entrées vary seasonally, but you will always find duck, seafood, New Mexican lamb and beef on the menu. The vegetarian butternut squash ravioli with mascarpone sauce and pine nuts is a winner any time of year. Moskow has built an impressive wine list with more than 20 wines by the glass and 250 bottles from which to choose.
