Nelson's Description:
Nelson's at the Terranea Resort was built on the site of the water treatment facility for the former aquatic park Marineland of the Pacific, which was also used as a filming location for several films and television shows such as "Sea Hunt" in the late 1950s. (The restaurant's name pays tribute to Mike Nelson, the character portrayed by Lloyd Bridges in that series.) At this casual dining option, guests can take in sweeping ocean views while enjoying dishes like crabcake sliders with Cajun remoulade or a brown sugar rubbed pulled pork sandwich with onions and Napa coleslaw. The kitchen also keeps things interesting by offering specials like salmon burgers. End your meal with the homemade ice cream sandwich. Complementing the menu is a selection of California wines, micro brewed beers on draft and specialty drinks such as Nelson's Pink Lady made with Ketel One Citroen, lemonade and Chambord.
