Chez Papa Ernie's Description:
You would be forgiven for missing this restaurant altogether as it is tucked away in a residential area and the only welcoming feature is a painting of a penguin dressed in a tuxedo. This Glatt kosher family restaurant---run by Papa Ernie himself---is part deli although its menu is decidedly that of a restaurant, with a wide variety of traditional fare and variations thereof. At the entrance you will see artworks of various sorts including landscapes by local artist Chaim Teitelbaum. While the menu is broad, the restaurant takes pride in its well-known burgers that are served with fries and beans. Chicken, salami, knackwurst and even pineapple burgers are offered as well. There's wide selection of steaks including a 12-ounce rib steak, a marinated, tender slice of beef filet, or a boneless beef filet.
