Three Degrees Description:
This is one place where you feel like you're away from it all, in spite of being smack in the middle of downtown. There's a striking view of the Willamette River where diners may see a bald eagle soar past in the morning, and at the end of a day, diners can reflect on the city's sparkling lights. The menu is a tribute to fresh regional ingredients prepared with down-home, Pacific Northwest flair. Try the Dr. Pepper braised short ribs or grilled wild salmon with wild rice, Brussels sprouts leaves, and brown butter caper sauce. The kitchen makes good use of fresh seafood catches (think oysters and clams), pairing them with the area's produce and wine. There's an emphasis on ably-prepared comfort food, especially at breakfast and lunch. But perhaps the best part of Three Degrees is its wraparound patio where contented crowds congregate on fine days to mingle and gaze upon the busy riverside esplanade and marina. If the weather turns chilly, the accommodating staff will turn on the outdoor heaters, provide a lap blanket, and serve potent libations to warm and relax even the frostiest soul.
