The Portland City Grill Description:
The view is striking, but people would still eat here even if there were no windows---the food is that inventive. As Portland's highest restaurant, this spot is guaranteed to ensure a special evening. Some patrons are put off by the oddly rustic décor and beamed ceilings, but they can always gaze out the windows. The bar is generally packed with members of the young drinkers' club, and the affordable happy hour food menu is something wonderful to behold and taste. Steak and seafood are served with an Asian, somewhat tropical twist, as in black plum-seared scallops. A big draw is the impressive sushi combinations. Brunch offers interesting twists on standard breakfast fare, from banana bourbon pancakes and Dungeness crab cake Benedict to Kurobuta ham (encrusted with a gingersnap crust), as well as a variety of egg dishes.
