Papa Haydn East Description:
Artful cakes, mousses and tortes draw folks from all over to the eastside outpost of the Papa Haydn dessert café. The pace here is more leisurely than NW 23rd, but the famed dessert case is equally tantalizing. Along with the array of seductive sweets, the friendly café also serves an ever-changing menu of respectable bistro fare, such as orecchiette with spot prawns, arugula and baby fennel fronds in a brown butter, white wine, arugula pesto. The dining room here is comfortable and casual. In good weather, a few outdoor tables are available for those who want to eat cake and watch cars whiz down Milwaukie Avenue.
