This is a hangout for singles, and you can't even get near the place on St. Patrick's Day when the annual Kells Irish Festival packs in thousands of green-clad revelers. The food is indeed Irish, but cooked with an American sensibility. Entrées include corned beef and cabbage, Guinness meatballs, and classic bangers and mash. There are lighter choices such as salads and small plates as well. The bar boasts one of the Northwest's largest selections of single malt scotches and whiskeys. If getting liquored-up isn't enough for you, head down to the cigar room for some serious puffing at one of the few smoking spots left. Authentic live Irish music keeps the joint rocking seven nights a week. Not surprisingly, Kells is the place in town for watching international football, rugby, and Gaelic games.
