India House Description:
The only thing better than an Indian meal is an all-you-can-eat Indian buffet. You'll find it at this small downtown place, which serves hungry hordes at lunch because its 12-course lunch buffet is a good deal. Unlike many such spreads, the restaurant does not put out its cheap or less desirable dishes on the serving table. Instead, India House offers a reasonable sampling of authentic dishes of the type you might order were you to return for dinner. There's often an incendiary chicken vindaloo as well as lighter vegetarian offerings such as alu saag (spinach and potatoes) or Punjabi chickpeas. The amenities here are fairly basic, although the friendly servers always make you feel welcome. The lunch crowd is all a-bustle, the evening more sedate. India House also offers food to go.
